Fun for Families

Are you looking for something fun to do with your family?

I have a perfect activity for you!  A couple of years ago some friends introduced me to a product - the Wolf'em Stick and my life has never been the same!

I get a lot of people asking me about the Wolf'em Stick. They look at the wooden cooking head with a confused expression and say, "How the heck am I supposed to fit a marshmallow onto this thing?" Well, it's not a marshmallow stick; it's a Wolf'em Stick. And what's it used to make? Yep, you guessed it: Wolf'ems!

What's a Wolf'em, you might ask? Put simply, it's roasted biscuit dough filled with any toppings your heart desires. They're fun to make, and they taste delicious. In this blog post, I'll outline how you make them in three easy-to-follow steps.

Step One: Prepare the Wolf'em

Take your Wolf'em Stick and grease the end of it with non stick cooking spray. Then, take a bit of biscuit dough (store-bought brands work great), and mold it over the entire wooden cooking end. Try to spread the dough evenly across the whole cooking head so you don't wind up with holes in your Wolf'em!

Step Two: Roast the Wolf'em

Hold the dough over a fire, and begin to slowly rotate it using the patented rotary handles. Your distance from the flames should be a bit closer than you would use if you were roasting marshmallows. Continue rotating until your dough is a nice golden brown. Don't get too close to the flames; this will give you a burnt outer shell while leaving the inside uncooked.

Step Three: Fill the Wolf'em

Remove your Wolf'em from the flames, and give it a minute to cool down. Then, gently take it from off the wooden cooking head. Be careful not to tear it!

This is where it gets fun. Take your freshly-prepared Wolf'em and fill it with anything your heart desires. Popular toppings include Nutella, cookie dough, jam, whipped cream, fudge sauce, and ice cream. You don't have to stick with sweets, though; go for a savory taste with eggs, bacon, ground beef, ham, cheese, or anything else. The sky is the limit!

Wolf the Wolf'em

Eating your Wolf'em can be a little tricky since they're usually pretty big, so open wide and don't worry about getting messy! No shame - everyone else will be doing the exact same thing! :)

Making Wolf'ems is the perfect group activity. I say this because I've experienced it myself! I've done it on dates, with friends, and my family. It's a great opportunity to interact with people in new ways. You get to see their creativity, their food tastes, and their sense of humor as they struggle to fit a giant Wolf'em in their mouth. I absolutely love doing it, and I hope you love it as well!
